Leicester St Georges

The St Georges area of Leicester was once a hive of industry, dominated by factories, workshops and warehouses. In the 1960s local industry began to decline and by the late 1990s much of the area had fallen in to disrepair.

In the 2000s this decline was reversed as St Georges began a transformation in to Leicester's new Cultural Quarter and now it is home to exciting cultural venues, creative businesses, restaurants and bars and city centre apartments.
